Thank You for Volunteering to Coach

Everything You Need to Stay Organized

Thank you for stepping up to coach with GSSA! Our volunteer coaches are the heart of our organization, and we’re committed to giving you the tools, resources, and support you need to lead with confidence. Whether you’re a seasoned coach or new to the sidelines, this page will guide you through everything from registration and training to practice planning and communication—so you can focus on what matters most: creating a positive and rewarding soccer experience for your team.

Register as a Fall Season Coach

Registration is only needed once per soccer year (June 1 – May 31).

Returning Coaches: If you coached in Fall, you’re already registered for the year. If you only coached in Spring, you’ll need to re-register.

New Coaches: All new coaches must complete annual registration and  complete the required background check and SafeSport* course or refresher.

Coaches Meeting & Clinic

In-person meeting will be Saturday, August 9th, 2025 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at The REC in Grapevine.
More info and clinic details will be posted here and communicated prior to the meeting.

Can’t make the meeting? Please review the presentation.

Sign Up for Weekly Practice Plans

Sign up for Youth Soccer 101 and get one practice plan per week via email for the entire season.

Each plan includes 3-4 activities supported by animation/video to ensure that the coaches understand them.  A printable option is also available.

The coach spends a few minutes a week viewing the pre-made age-appropriate plan and the result is a confident coach who is prepared to run effective fun practices for the entire season.

Specify Grapevine-Southlake Soccer Association when you register.
NOTE: If your age group is not listed, select the next age group above (i.e. for U7, select U8).

Sign Up for a Practice Field

Contact your Field Commissioners and once confirmed as a coach for the upcoming season you can sign up for practice fields.
